New Delhi: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has announced his new project – a courtroom drama thriller ‘Section 84’. The film will be directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, who had earlier collaborated with Big B in ‘Yudh’ and ‘Te3n’.
Announcing the project Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, “a delight once again to be in the company of distinguished creative minds for this new venture , and the challenge it provokes, for me ..”
On working with Big B again, Director Ribhu Dasgupta said: “I feel happy, blessed, and honoured to collaborate with Sir again. Looking forward to it.”
Vivek B. Agrawal, Producer, Reliance Entertainment, said: “It’s an honour to have Mr Bachchan on board in our next film and I’m thrilled to be starting this adventure with him and Ribhu in Section 84.”

‘Section 84’ is presented by Reliance Entertainment in association with Jio Studios and produced by Reliance Entertainment, Film Hangar, and Saraswati Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. The film is written and will be directed by Ribhu Dasgupta.
Big B has many other interesting projects lined up. He will be seen in Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Ganapath: Part 1’, which is slated to release on October 20. He also has an important role in Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s ‘Project K’. The actor also has the official remake of ‘The Intern’ co-starring Deepika in the pipeline.
Big B had an eventful 2022 with five films releasing in theatres, apart from his ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ stint on television. He was seen in a mix of genres from ‘Brahmastra’, ‘Goodbye’ to ‘Jhund’, ‘Uunchai’ and ‘Runway 34’.
