Retired WBBM-AM news anchor Kris Kridel on March 13 sold her three-bedroom, 1,855-square-foot condominium on the 12th floor of the Bristol building in Streeterville for its $700,000 asking price.

Kridel retired from WBBM in 2019 after 34 years as a news anchor at the station, where she was known most for her work anchoring the “Noon Business Hour” program and for serving as an afternoon drive anchor.

Kridel paid $700,000 for the condo in 2005. She first listed it on Feb. 9 for that same amount, and she went under contract to sell it just four days later.

The 42-story Bristol building was constructed in 2000. A corner unit, Kridel’s former condo has 2½ bathrooms, a kitchen with newer stainless steel appliances, a living/dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows, north and west views, a primary bedroom suite with a dual vanity and a walk-in closet, and another bedroom with an organized closet.

Listing agent Katie Hogan declined to comment on the sale or on where Kridel is headed.

The condo had a $12,446 property tax bill in the 2021 tax year.
