Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus and his wife, Kelly, on Friday placed their five-bedroom, 7,404-square-foot Cape Cod-style house in Carmel, Indiana, on the market for $1.69 million.
Eberflus just completed his first year as the Bears’ head coach after serving as the Indianapolis Colts’ defensive coordinator from 2018 until 2021. Locally, he and his wife paid $3.9 million in May 2022 for their seven-bedroom, 8,947-square-foot mansion in Lake Bluff.
In Carmel, the couple paid $1.01 million in 2018 for the house that they now have for sale. Built in 2005 and located on a golf course, the house has 3½ bathrooms, a kitchen with a center island and Wolf appliances, a dining nook, a hearth room with a fireplace and a first-floor primary bathroom suite with a walk-in closet. Other features include a four-car garage and a walk-out lower level with a home theater, a game room, a wet bar and a wine cellar.
Outside on the 0.4-acre property are a reverse infinity pool, a fire pit and a pergola.
Listing agent Mike Deck declined to comment. A Bears spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.
The house had a $12,013 property tax bill in the 2022 tax year, along with a $391-a-month cost for homeowners association dues.
