Former WTMX-FM morning host Eric Ferguson lists Tribune Tower condo

Former WTMX-FM morning host Eric Ferguson has placed his two-bedroom condominium in the Tribune Tower on the market for $2.95 million.

Ferguson, 56, was a popular morning co-host and then was the solo host on “The Mix” from 1996 until 2021, when he left the station amid a host of allegations that he had engaged in workplace misconduct. Those allegations included a 2021 lawsuit filed by a former assistant producer alleging that he had coerced her to perform sexual acts and then had retaliated against her at work when she stopped complying. That lawsuit was dropped in June.

Ferguson paid $2.2 million through an opaque land trust in July 2021 to buy the 11th-floor condo in the Tribune Tower from the developer who converted the former office building to residential use. Earlier this year, Ferguson placed the unit on the market.

Features in the condo, which Ferguson upgraded, include 2½ bathrooms, custom wall coverings, wide-plank hardwood floors, high ceilings, millwork and designer lighting. The unit has an open floor plan with split bedrooms, and the kitchen has an oversize island, quarter countertops and Sub-Zero, Wolf and Miele appliances.

Listing agent Victoria Rezin of Coldwell Banker declined to comment on the listing.

Ferguson previously owned a five-bedroom, 3,448-square-foot, farmhouse-style home in Hinsdale, which he bought for $1.41 million in 2019 and sold in late 2021 for $1.35 million. Prior to that, Ferguson owned a six-bedroom, 8,270-square-foot mansion in Hinsdale with his ex-wife until the pair sold it in May 2020 for $2.89 million.
