The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the reserve list of the UPSC CSE (Civil Services Examination) 2022. 89 candidates have been recommended in the UPSC CSE Reserve list 2022. As per an official statement from the commission, these candidates were on the reserve list, and their recommendation has been made based on their performance in the UPSC CSE Exam 2022. The 89 recommended candidates consist of 65 candidates from the general category, 7 from EWS, 15 from OBC, and 1 each from SC and ST categories.

Notably, earlier this year in May, the UPSC released the results of the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2022. In the CSE Results, the commission recommended as many as 933 candidates for appointment into various services of the Government of India like the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) among others. The UPSC has further said that it has also maintained a consolidated reserve list in order of merit below the last recommended candidate under the respective categories.
