Handset maker iQoo is set to launch its Neo 9 Pro with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset in the Indian market on February 22. Ahead of the official announcement, the Vivo sub-brand has revealed additional specs of the Indian model, confirming two RAM options: 8GB and 12GB RAM. This gaming-focused smartphone is likely to boast a Q1 chip and a 50MP dual rear camera setup. The device will go on sale on e-commerce site Amazon.in. The India launch of the device comes after it was originally launched in China in December last year, with a MediaTek Dimensity chip.

According to the handset maker, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro, featuring 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, has surpassed 1.7 million in AnTuTu benchmarks. To recall, the Neo 7 Pro offered 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB models at a starting price of Rs 34,999.

iQoo 9 Pro India Launch, Colour, Specs (Expected)

iQoo Neo 9 Pro is set to launch in the month of February in India. iQoo has already confirmed the arrival of the new series of smartphones through X (formerly Twitter). The new device will be released on February 22. The Indian variant of iQoo Neo 9 Pro will run on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The same model was launched in China last year in December, however, the Chinese variant runs on MediaTek Dimensity chipset.

The teaser shared by the Vivo sub-brand suggests that the handset will be coming with a dual-tone and white design, leather finish and dual rear camera unit.

Amazon has created a dedicated webpage for the teaser of the arrival of the iQoo Neo 9 Pro. The listing on the website confirmed that the smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

In China, iQoo Neo 9 Pro had a starting price tag of CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs 35,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB variant. However, for India, it is expected to be priced below Rs 40,000.

The device ships with Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14 in China. It boasts a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. When it comes to RAM then the Chinese variant offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a maximum 1TB of UFS 4.0 inbuilt storage. It carries a dual rear camera setup led by a 50MP Sony IMX920 primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS). If we come to the battery segment then the Chinese variant offers a 5,160mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging support.
