Oak Forest police are investigating the shooting of a 38-year-old man early Wednesday morning in the 15700 block of Lake Drive.

Police responded to a report of shots fired at 2:58 a.m. and found the man in the entry hall of an apartment building with several gunshot wounds, the department said in a news release.

Police provided life‐saving measures until paramedics arrived and took the man to a hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.

Police ask anyone with information to contact detective Sgt. Ryan Burnett or detective David Lowisz at 708‐687‐1376.
