London-based consumer tech brand Nothing is said to be gearing up to launch a new device in India. The company has hinted at the upcoming release through its social media channels, thus, sparking speculation about the new product. While the company has not disclosed the product’s name, rumours suggest it could be either the Nothing Phone 3 or the CMF Phone 1. Recently leaked renders of the CMF Phone 1 suggested a design more reminiscent of the Apple iPhone SE 2, rather than the Nothing Phone 2a.

The UK-based firm, known for its cryptic teasers, has shared an image on X, formerly Twitter, hinting at a new product launch. The post reveals the side profile of a device, but its exact details remain unknown.

Although the brand hasn’t made any official announcements, the Nothing Phone 3 is likely to debut soon as the successor to the Phone 2. It is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. For reference, the Nothing Phone 2 was launched in India in 2022. Meanwhile, rumours about CMF’s plans to release its first smartphone have been doing the rounds and the latest speculation suggests that CMF, a budget-friendly sub-brand of Nothing, might rebrand the Nothing Phone 2a for its first smartphone. Currently, CMF by Nothing offers only TWS earbuds and neckbands in India. If these leaks are accurate, this launch would mark the company’s entry into the smartphone market. CMF is known for producing affordable products aimed at young consumers, and the CMF Phone 1 is expected to follow this trend. Leaked images show the device in CMF’s distinctive pop orange colour, with additional colour options likely to be introduced.

CMF Phone 1 To Be Priced Under Rs 15,000

According to an Android Central report, the “CMF Phone 1” is expected to start at Rs 12,000, positioning it as the most budget-friendly smartphone within the Nothing ecosystem. In comparison, the Nothing Phone 2a’s price begins at Rs 23,999.

Meanwhile, some recent leaks have provided more details about the upcoming CMF smartphone.
