Modi Cabinet 3.0

The Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance came back to the Centre for a third term on Sunday as Narendra Modi took the oath of the office of Prime Minister.  BJP stalwarts Piyush Goyal, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Dharmendra Pradhan, and Bhupender Yadav, who transitioned from the Rajya Sabha to the Lok Sabha, retained their ministerial roles. Additionally, former Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Virendra Kumar, Pralhad Joshi, Giriraj Singh, and Jual Oram were among those sworn in.

BJP chief JP Nadda, Jual Oram, and Ajay Tamta were among the ministers who were inducted into the Union cabinet after a gap.

The Bharatiya Janata Party is continuing for a third term after the NDA won the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. The BJP, with 240 seats however fell short of crossing the majority mark making the saffron party reliant on allies like TDP and the JD(U).
