A 15-year-old boy was critically hurt Saturday in a shooting in the Austin neighborhood on the city’s West Side, according to Chicago police.

Officers responded to a call of a person shot in the 100 block of North Lavergne Avenue just before 5:30 p.m. They found the boy with a gunshot wound and a graze wound to his chest, police said.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was initially listed in critical condition, police said.

Police said no suspects are in custody, and that detectives are investigating the shooting.
