Motorized bicycle struck overnight in hit and run leaving victim critically injured in Brighton Park neighborhood

An unidentified male victim traveling on a motorized bike overnight in the Brighton Park neighborhood was in critical condition after being struck by a hit-and-run driver, Chicago police said.

Shortly after 3:15 a.m. Saturday, the victim was traveling on a motorized bike in the 4000 block of South Cicero Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene, police said.

The victim, whose age wasn’t immediately known, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and listed in critical condition.

No one was in custody and the Major Accidents Investigation Unit was investigating.
