Three local caucuses, in the villages of Winnetka and Glencoe and New Trier High School District 203, have announced their respective candidate slates for the April 2025 municipal elections.

The Winnetka Caucus Council endorsed a slate led by current village trustee Robert Dearborn for the next village president, according to its chairman Peter Eck. Dearborn has served on the village council for more than seven years.

The winner of that election will succeed Chris Rintz, who is stepping down after serving eight years as village president and previously six years as village trustee.

The Winnetka Caucus Council is also supporting incumbent trustees Kirk Albinson and Bridget Orsic for new terms, along with Scott Myers for a trustee position.

At the Winnetka Park District, the Caucus Council is backing incumbent Colleen Root for another term. The Caucus is also backing Elise Gibson Duda and Scott Corley to join the board. Incumbents Eric Lussen and Warren James are leaving the board.

At Winnetka School District 36, Board president Dan Waters and vice president Alyssa Rapp have Caucus backing along with newcomer Andrew Hotz. Steve Cirulis is departing after eight years on the school board.

Moving over to Glencoe, the Glencoe Caucus endorsed Village President Howard Roin for a second four-year term, noted Caucus Village Nominating Committee co-chairman Peter Monahan.

The Glencoe Caucus is also slating incumbent trustees Dudley Onderdonk and Gary Ruben for another term, plus resident Michael Rosenblat to join the village board. If he wins, he will succeed Gail Lissner, who is completing her second term, the traditional limit.

For the Glencoe Park District, the Caucus endorsed Jacqueline Avitia-Guzman, Gary Hazan and Nicole Reifman for four-year terms with incumbents Stefanie Boron, Bart Schneider and Jordan Spector set to leave the park board.

At Glencoe School District 35, the Caucus endorsed incumbent Enna Allen for another term, along with newcomers Ashley Conrad, Hamilton Hill and Brooke Semel. Board president Kelly Glauberman and school board member Marc Gale were not running after serving two terms. Fellow member Joshua Markus said he chose not to run for a second term after being elected in 2021.

Finally at New Trier High School, the New Trier School Board Caucus endorsed incumbents Kimberly Alcantara, Avik Das and Sally Tomlinson along with newcomer Joo Serk Lee.

Incumbent Keith Dronen is stepping down after serving the traditional two terms.

Any candidate running with an endorsement from one of these local caucuses enters an election race as a favorite, and many  run unopposed.
