Popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, recently shared a life-altering experience where he narrowly escaped drowning in the sea off Goa. The YouTuber credited an IPS officer and his IRS wife for rescuing him and his girlfriend during the harrowing incident, which he detailed in an emotional Instagram post.

Ranveer Allahabadia shares near-drowning incident

Ranveer recounted how he and his girlfriend were enjoying a swim in the open sea when an unexpected current pulled them under. Describing the incident, he wrote, “We’re perfectly fine and well now. But yesterday at 6:00 pm or so, my girlfriend and I had to be rescued from a bit of a situation.”

The post, accompanied by pictures from their Goa trip, revealed that Ranveer, a seasoned swimmer accustomed to navigating open waters solo, struggled when faced with the powerful current while swimming with his partner. On December 24, their casual dip turned into a nightmare as the waves swept them off balance.

Ranveer thanks a couple for saving them

“A casual, fun dip in the waves was interrupted by an underwater current that toppled both of us. The next thing we knew was that we were both struggling to stay afloat,” he shared. “There was a point during the ordeal where I swallowed a lot of water and started fading away a little bit. That’s when I decided to shout for help. Deep gratitude to the family of the IPS officer husband and IRS officer wife who saved us both.”

Reflecting on the terrifying experience, Ranveer expressed profound gratitude for his rescuers and credited divine protection for their survival. “This experience left us feeling both blank as well as grateful. We felt the protection of God throughout the incident. As we moved into today’s Christmas, we’re simply full of gratitude for being alive,” he wrote.

The incident also gave Ranveer a fresh perspective on life. “Almost feel like this one life experience has changed my perspective towards living. Writing this because I’ve always shared these moments with you all. Full of emotion and gratitude today,” he added, thanking his followers for their support.

Ranveer shared a heartfelt message about the prayers of a friend and his hopes for the future. “I guess 2025 is going to be more blessed than ever. We lived for a reason! Merry Christmas to you all and to your families. Thank you God, for life!”

Known for his podcast and interviews with renowned personalities, Ranveer has built a significant following of over 10 million subscribers on YouTube.
