If you have cleared Class-10 exams and have an ITI certificate, grab this great opportunity to get a job in the Indian Railways. South Central Railway has announced a bumper recruitment for 4,232 apprenticeship posts. The application process for these posts has started and will continue till January 27, 2025. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website of the Railway Recruitment Cell scr.indianrailways.gov.in. Candidates can follow the steps given here to apply.
Appointments will be made in different trades under this recruitment. These include mainly Electrician, Fitter, Welder, Machinist, Diesel Mechanic, AC Mechanic, Painter and other trades. The highest number of 1053 posts are for Electrician and 1742 posts for Fitter. Under this recruitment drive, 143 posts for AC Mechanic, 713 posts for Welder, 142 posts for Diesel Mechanic, 74 posts for Painter have opened up.
Railways Recruitment: Qualifications
Candidates applying for apprentice posts must have a Class 10 passing certificate with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognised board. Along with this, an ITI certificate in the relevant trade is also required.
Railways Recruitment: Age Limit
The minimum age of the candidates applying has been fixed at 15 years. While the maximum age of the candidates applying is 24 years. Age relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates as per rules.
Railways Jobs: Application Fee
Candidates will have to pay an application fee for this recruitment drive. General/OBC category candidates will have to deposit a fee of Rs 100. SC/ST/PWD/female candidates have been exempted from paying the fee.
Railways Jobs: How to Apply
Candidates need to go to the scr.indianrailways.gov.in website and register. Registered candidates can then login with their Username and Password.
Then candidates will need to fill in the Apprenticeship form and pay the application fee.
After submitting the form, the candidate needs to take a printout for future reference.
