Pitru Paksha 2025 Start and End Dates
According to the Hindu Panchang, Pitru Paksha is the 15-day period observed from Bhadrapada Purnima to Ashwin Amavasya. The final day of Pitru Paksha, known as Sarva Pitru Amavasya, also marks the beginning of Mahalaya.
In 2025, Pitru Paksha will begin on 7th September and end on 21st September. During this sacred period, rituals such as Tarpan, Shraddha, and Pind Daan are performed to honor and appease one’s ancestors.
