Superintendent of Bathinda Jail ND Negi claimed on Tuesday that the interview given by jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi to ABP News was neither recorded in Bathinda jail nor in any prison of Punjab. The prison official said Bishnoi was presently confined in the high-security Bathinda Central Jail where strict surveillance was kept over his activities 24×7.

“The interview was not recorded in any jail of Punjab or Bathinda jail. Sometimes, agencies take him (Lawrence Bishnoi) for questioning, maybe it was recorded there. We have jammers installed inside jails and security is tight. Thus, it is not possible to record from inside jail. We monitor Lawrence round the clock and have strict security,” the Superintendent of Bathinda Jail said.

In a special show ‘Operation Durdant’ of ABP News, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, speaking from inside prison, threw light on the murder of Punjabi singer-politician Sidhu Moose Wala and the alleged threat letter sent to actor Salman Khan.

Bishnoi said Goldie Brar, a member of his gang, killed Moose Wala and he had no involvement in the murder. Bishnoi said the planning for the murder of Moose Wala was going on for a year.

“Goldie Brar was involved in Moose Wala’s murder. I already knew about the murder plot, but had no hand in it. Moose Wala was strengthening our anti-gang. I had told Goldie that Moose Wala is our enemy,” Bishnoi said.

Bishnoi also revealed that the weapons used to kill Moose Wala was procured from Uttar Pradesh. “They killed our people. The law was not punishing them, so we punished them. The weapons were brought in from UP,” the gangster said.

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala, was shot dead by six people in Mansa district on May 29, 2022. The incident took place a day after his security was curtailed by the Punjab Police.

Canada-based gangster Goldie Brar, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the murder. Brar had claimed that Moose Wala was assassinated to avenge the killing of Akali Dal leader, Vikramjit Singh, aka Vicky Middukhera.

‘Salman Khan Should Apologise To Bishnoi Community Or Face Consequences’

The gangster also said actor Salman Khan humiliated his community by killing a blackbuck and sought an apology from the Bollywood actor.

“There is anger in our society for Salman Khan. He humiliated my society. A case was filed against him but he did not apologise. If he does not tender an apology, be ready to face the consequences. I will not depend on anyone else,” Bishnoi said.

“There is anger in my mind for him since childhood. Will break his ego sooner or later. He should come to our deity’s temple and apologise. If our society forgives, then I will not say anything,” the gangster further said.
