20-year-old man found fatally shot in Portage Park after being dropped off by car

A 20-year-old man was found dead in Portage Park early Saturday morning after being dropped off by an unknown person driving a black sedan with gunfire damage, Chicago police said.

At approximately 4:15 a.m. Saturday, the man was left in the 5600 block of W. Addison St. in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the right hip, police said. He was soon pronounced dead.

No one is in custody. Detectives are investigating the incident, the circumstances of which are still unknown, police said.
