26-year-old Dolton man shot, killed in Park Forest, police investigating

Park Forest police said they are investigating the shooting death of a 26-year-old Dolton man.

Police said they were called at about 11:30 a.m. Thursday to the 0-100 block of Krotiak Street to assist the Park Forest Fire Department with an unresponsive male.

The man, identified as 26-year-old Kevin M. Miller Jr. from Dolton, was found deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.

Park Forest investigators, along with members of the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force, responded to the scene, assisted by the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Unit, Park Forest police said in a news release Friday.

The shooting remains under investigation and police said that their investigation indicates it was an isolated shooting.

Police ask anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 708-748-1309.
