A 29-year-old man was fatally wounded late Saturday morning in a shooting on the South Side in the Washington Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 11 a.m., the victim was in the 5700 block of South Prairie Avenue when two people exited a black SUV and opened fire in his direction. The man suffered gunshot wounds to the body, and was taken to UChicago Medicine where he was pronounced dead.
No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
