Three people were arrested early Friday morning after a sedan struck a bus shelter and they tried to flee the scene on the North Side in the Lakeview neighborhood, Chicago police said.

About 3 a.m., four males in a black Nissan sedan attempted to flee after striking a bus shelter in the 3800 block of North DuSable Lake Shore Drive. Responding officers saw them fleeing the scene and were able to place three of them into custody, police said.

There were no injuries reported during the incident. Officers found two handguns and an unknown amount of narcotics inside the vehicle, police said.
