A 25-year-old man was wounded overnight in a shooting on the South Side in the South Shore neighborhood, Chicago police said.
About 10 p.m., the victim was walking in the 7000 block of South Jeffery Boulevard when he heard shots and felt pain. He was taken in serious condition to an area hospital with wounds to the ankles, police said.
No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
