Actor Daniel J. Travanti paid the $1.08 million asking price for a three-bedroom, 3,792-square-foot contemporary-style house on 2.3 acres in Lincolnshire.
A Kenosha native and Primetime Emmy Award-winning actor who starred on TV’s “Hill Street Blues” from 1981 until 1987, Travanti remains active and continues to review new projects. He has been a longtime Lake County resident, having moved from Los Angeles to Lake Forest in 1995.
In October, Travanti sold his longtime six-bedroom, 6,744-square-foot mansion in Lake Forest for $1.27 million. He had paid $840,000 for it in 1995.
Built in 1977, Travanti’s new house is on a heavily wooded property on a private road and has 3½ bathrooms, hardwood floors, a great room with vaulted and beamed ceilings and a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, a primary bedroom suite with dual walk-in closets, a finished lower level and a stainless steel roof. The kitchen has custom wood cabinets, stainless steel appliances and a quartz island and countertops.
Outside on the property are multiple stone paver patios.
The house had a $16,972 property tax bill in the 2020 tax year.
Travanti bought his new house in January through a land trust. Real estate agent Bradley Magnant, who represented him in his purchase, did not respond to a request for comment.
