The owners of VAI’s Italian Inspired Restaurant Kitchen + Bar in Naperville will open an American urban dining restaurant — Entourage — on July 27.

Dinner service reservations are already being accepting at entouragerestaurant.com for those who want to be among the first to try out the highly anticipated new business on its opening weekend.

Entourage, described as a new American kitchen restaurant, is scheduled to open July 27 at 796 Route 59 in Naperville. Among the special features of the bar area is a tap that will dispense batch cocktails that kept at a temperature of 7 to 8 degrees. (Entourage/HANDOUT)

Construction crews transformed the former Bakers Square building at 796 Route 59, just north of Vai’s, into what owners describe as a welcoming dining atmosphere done in hues of blue, green, gray and gold accompanying oversized tables.

The menu will feature flown-in fresh seafood options; hand-cut meats dry aged for 35 days and seared on a 1,800-degree, infrared grill that produces a crust and seals in flavors; and a cold raw bar with seasonal oysters, wild-caught prawns and Alaskan king crab.

Besides an assortment of beer and wines, one of the bar’s centerpieces will be a frozen tap head that can dispense batched cocktails at 7 to 8 degrees.

Entourage will be open for lunch and brunch on the weekends beginning Aug. 15.

In other restaurant news:

• Be on the lookout for the opening of Duck Donuts in the shopping plaza near Route 59 and 95th Street.

When it opens, the south Naperville shop will be only the second Duck Donuts franchise in Illinois. The first debuted last summer in Libertyville.

• Kung Fu Tea opened recently at 3108 Route 59, Suite 132. The beverage purveyor specializes in bubble tea and other hot and cold drinks, including coffee and slushes. Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Founded in Queens, New York, Kung Fu Tea is a made-to-order beverage chain with more than 350 locations across the United States, Canada, Cambodia and Australia.

• Another Jimmy John’s is coming to Naperville at 1012 N. Washington St. No date for an opening is scheduled.

The sandwich shop already has four other locations in the city on North Route 59, South Route 59, West Jefferson Avenue and West Gartner Road.
