The Cupertino tech giant announced its most affordable wearable — and its most affordable new launch — at the ‘Far Out’ event on September 7. Now, at a quick glance, the Apple Watch SE 2 might appear identical to the OG Apple Watch SE. However, a closer look reveals subtle differences that make the Apple Watch SE 2 a slightly better offering from Apple.

Apple Watch SE 2 vs Apple Watch SE: Specifications, features

Both the generations of Apple Watch SE come with the same-sized OLED screens, digital crowns, and pebble-shaped aluminium cases. However, the Apple Watch SE 2 is touted to feature redesigned back case made of a nylon composite material, which makes the new wearable a whole lot lighter.

In terms of primary differences, the Apple Watch SE 2 is powered by the S8 SiP advanced dual-core processors — the same as the newly launched Apple Watch Series 8 — which makes it 20 percent faster than the previous generation.
