Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday replied to Congress on why the BJP needs 400 seats and also hit back at the grand old party for saying that the saffron party will change the Constitution for which it seeks to achieve the 400-seat target. Giving the reference of Sachin Tendulkar, he said no one asks him why he scored a double or triple century as there is no answer to such questions. The Assam CM then went on to explain why BJP needs 400 seats saying that it will build Krishna Janmabhoomi site in Mathura and at the Gyanpavi Mosque site in Kashi if the saffron party secures a third term after winning 400 seats.
In the previous elections, the BJP-led government had promised to build the Ram temple in Ayodhya and kept the promise after it came to power by winning 300 seats, Sarma added.

Besides the promises of building temples in Mathura and Kashi, the Assam CM added that the Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir will also be merged with India under the leadership of PM Modi.
While addressing a public meeting in support of BJP candidate Harsh Malhotra in Laxmi Nagar, Himanta Biswa said that the PM Modi led government fulfilled all the promises.
Training guns at Congress, Sarma said that during the grand old party’s rule, no discussions took place in the Parliament regarding PoK.
Asserting that PoK will become India’s part under PM Modi’s rule, Sarma said: “When the Congress was in power, we were told that one Kashmir is in India and the other in Pakistan. It was never discussed in our Parliament that Pakistam has ‘Occupied Kashmir,’ it is actually ours. Right now, agitation is happening every day in PoK and people are protesting against Pakistan, holding India’s flag in their hands. If Modiji gets 400 seats, then PoK will also become India’s. It has already started,” the Assam CM said.

Regarding the incident of AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Malial’s assault allegations against Delhi Chief Minister’s secretary at the CM’s residence, the Assam CM said that the vice president should take suo motu cognisance of the incident.
“Yesterday, he also thrashed a Rajya Sabha MP. I think the vice president, who is also the chairman of the Rajya Sabha, should take suo motu cognisance of how a chief minister can beat a Rajya Sabha MP,” news agency PTI quoted Sarma as saying.
