Readers in nine states can use the bet365 bonus code CTNEWS to sign up for an account and select either a $1K bet insurance offer or a $150 bet and get. As of March 10, bet365 in operational in Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, New Jersey, Ohio and Virginia. In addition to these widely available offers, bet365 is offering a limited time early sign-up bonus ahead of the March 11 online sports betting launch in North Carolina. Using the bet365 offers
We’ve outlined some potential uses for both of the bet365 offers in the subsections below, based on the schedule this weekend.
$1K First Bet Safety Net
Since this is a bet insurance promotion, it gives you the opportunity to take a chance with a bigger stake. If you win, you’ll hit big and if you lose, you’ll recoup your losses as bonus bets.
Say you place a $1,000 cash bet on the hypothetical Iowa Hawkeyes moneyline (+220) against the Fighting Illini of Illinois (-150), expecting Illinois to be upset on the road. If that wager won, you’d collect $2,200 in profit AND keep your initial cash stake. Notably though, you wouldn’t earn any bonus bets.
On the other hand, if the Fighting Illini win, as expected, you’d forfeit your stake. However, you’d get that full stake back in bonus bets credited to your account within a day or two of the wager settling.
Bet $5 Get $150 in Bonus Bets
The structure of this offer lends itself to playing it say. The $5 minimum is great for a small wager on a team you feel good about. If they win, your payout will be marginal but you’ll collect the bonus bets. If they lose, you’ll forfeit a small amount of cash but will still earn bonus bets.
Say you put down $10 in cash on the Lakers to cover the +5 spread (-110) at home against the Timberwolves. If they cover you’d collect $9.09 in profit and keep your cash stake plus $150 in bonus bets.
However, if the T’Wolves blow out LeBron and company you’d forfeit your cash stake but would earn 15 times that as bonus bets.
