Long-running speculations of a love connection between the two were rekindled by the photograph, which quickly went viral on several platforms. The picture was shared on Instagram by someone posing as a former employee of BLACKPINK’s agency, YG Entertainment, sparking the issue. The picture showed a couple kissing; the woman was wearing all-white clothing, while the man was wearing black trousers and an olive sweatshirt. With the message, “Who do you think these are?” the leaker baited fans. He added, implying more unreleased material, “I told you I have many pictures, but I will post them in due time.”

By sharing side-by-side comparisons, fans verified that the picture was really a recycled photograph of Cooper and Shayk, who dated from 2015 to 2019, rather than V and Jennie.
