A driver of a vehicle that crashed Saturday morning into a CTA bus in the Little Village neighborhood has died, Chicago police said.

Saturday morning, a sedan headed west in the 4000 block of West 26th Street failed to stop at a red light and stuck a northbound CTA bus that veered in a building, police said.

The sedan’s driver, an 18-year-old man, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition and was later pronounced dead, according to an update from Chicago police. A passenger in the car, a 21-year-old woman, was taken to Mount Sinai in good condition.

Inside the bus were a driver and a passenger. The two women, 38 and 52, were taken to Mount Sinai and Saint Anthony Hospital, and are listed in good condition for unknown injuries, police say.

No citations have been issued yet for the crash.
