MCD Election 2022 Live: Delhi State Election Commissioner (SEC) Vijay Dev on November 4 announced dates for the long-due Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) polls. Delhi State Election Commission announced that voting for unified three municipal corporations – East Delhi Municipal Corporation, South Delhi Municipal Corporation and North Delhi Municipal Corporation – into one MCD will be held on December 4. Counting of the votes will be held on December 7 and the results will be announced the same day.
Tri Nagar Assembly Constituency Wards*
In the Tri Nagar Delhi assembly constituency, there are a total of three wards to go under poll in the 2022 MCD election. The names of the three wards of the Tri Nagar assembly constituency are Kohat Enclave, Shakur Pur and Tri Nagar.
1. Kohat Enclave: In the Tri Nagar Delhi assembly constituency, Kohat Enclave is ward number sixty-one in the Delhi Civic Polls 2022 and has a total population of 66,252. The Kohat Enclave (Ward 61) MCD seat is unreserved.
2. Shakur Pur: In the Tri Nagar Delhi assembly constituency, Shakur Pur is ward number sixty-two in the Delhi Civic Polls 2022 and has a total population of 71,833. The Shakur Pur (Ward 62) MCD seat is reserved for Scheduled Caste.
3. Tri Nagar: In the Tri Nagar Delhi assembly constituency, Tri Nagar is ward number sixty-three in the Delhi Civic Polls 2022 and has a total population of 69,013. The Tri Nagar (Ward 63) MCD seat is reserved for women.
