Former Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen on Wednesday placed his five-bedroom, 3,738-square-foot house in Vernon Hills on the market for $899,000.
Cohen, 27, played for the Bears for four years, including being named to the Pro Bowl in 2018. He was released by the Bears in March 2022 after he was plagued by injuries, including suffering from an ACL injury and a tibial plateau fracture.
Cohen paid $679,000 in 2021 for the house, which was built in 2001 and is located in Vernon Hills’ Gregg’s Landing development. The house has three bathrooms, hardwood floors, a family room with a fireplace and a three-car garage.
Cohen significantly upgraded the bathrooms in the house, listing agent Logan Jones of Compass told Elite Street.
“He put a chunk of change into the (primary) bathroom and the first-floor bathroom, with features like luxury tile. It’s set up for the next person, and it won’t have to be touched for the next 20, 30 years,” Jones said.
Cohen also noted that the house sits on a 0.39-acre parcel that is one of the larger lots in Gregg’s Landing.
A North Carolina native, Cohen now has moved on from the house, which is available for immediate occupancy.
The house had an $18,200 property tax bill in the 2021 tax year.
