Former Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson, who now plays for the Los Angeles Angels, and his wife, Bria, in February sold their seven-bedroom, 3,597-square-foot house in Flossmoor for $855,000 to a local school superintendent.
Drafted by the Sox in 2013, Anderson, 31, played eight years for the team, including twice being named an All-Star. He struggled in 2023, which prompted the Sox to decline his option, and he signed a one-year $5 million contract with the Miami Marlins for 2024. He joined the Angels at the start of this season.
Anderson had been one of the few Sox players in recent years to own a Chicago-area home. In Flossmoor, he and his wife paid $450,000 in 2017 for the home. Built in 2001, the house has six full bathrooms, 20-foot ceilings, two dedicated home offices, a primary bedroom suite with two walk-in closets, and a kitchen with Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove appliances.
The Andersons listed the house in December for $1 million, and they went under contract just 10 days later.

The buyer, Jennifer Norrell, was named in November to be the next superintendent of Homewood-Flossmoor High School District 233. Currently co-superintendent of East Aurora School Dist. 131, Norrell will assume the $282,000-a-year job in the Homewood-Flossmoor district on July 1.
The house had a $19,455 property tax bill in the 2023 tax year.
