A 2-year-old girl was injured in a Saturday night shooting in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side, according to Chicago police.

Authorities said an unknown gunman fired the shot that struck the girl inside a home in the 2500 block of West 61st Street around 7 p.m., police said.

She was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in good condition with a gunshot wound to her right leg.

A firearm was recovered at the scene, but police offered no other details on the shooting as detectives began their investigation.
