Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Sunday that the BJP will win the Haryana Assembly elections with a landslide, implying that the party may run alone in the state elections next year. Khattar’s remarks come amid signs of discord between the ruling BJP and its ally, the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP). The BJP and the JJP have been coy about whether they will run in the assembly elections and the Lok Sabha elections together in 2024.

During a programme for BJP workers in Kalka, Khattar stated that the world is looking to India for ties and that the country is on its way to becoming a world leader, news agency PTI reported.

He also stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be re-elected for the third time after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the report said.

In Haryana, Khattar stated that a government with a full majority was formed in 2014, but the BJP failed to obtain an absolute majority in 2019, it added.

“Everyone must start working hard now to form the government for the third time in the country and the state in 2024.” “This time, we will fill the void left by the last Vidhan Sabha elections in the state and form the government with a full majority,” Khattar was quoted as saying by PTI. According to the chief minister, there is no alternative to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He also stated that the BJP is the only party in which a common worker can become an MLA, MP, CM, or PM.

The BJP, which currently has 41 MLAs after winning the Adampur bypoll last year, had won 40 of Haryana’s 90 seats in 2019 and had to form government with the support of the JJP, which has 10 MLAs.

According to the report, Khattar also stated that development works worth Rs 2,500 crore have been completed in the Kalka assembly constituency over the last eight and a half years.

He stated that Tikkar Tal is being developed as a tourism destination. The tourism sector will be developed in the area from Kalka to Kalesar, increasing employment opportunities, according to the report. He also stated that the forest areas of Adi Badri, Lohgarh, and Kalesar are being developed. According to the CM, the current state government has worked with the sentiment of ‘Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek’ by putting an end to nepotism and regionalism.
