2 cups homemade or store-bought low-sodium chicken or turkey broth, plus more as needed

1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon minced or pureed chipotle in adobo

2 large Yukon Gold or white potatoes, cut into small cubes

1 cup toasted slivered almonds

½ cup golden raisins

5 ounces chopped candied orange (about ½ cup)
