The pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant have begun and Day 1 was indeed a star-studded affair as it drew prominent figures from all over the world. Mukesh Ambani graciously hosted his guests at the pre-wedding event, emphasizing their esteemed treatment akin to the principle of “Atithi Devo Bhava” (the guest is God). Before the lavish festivities started, Mukesh Ambani welcomed his guests and addressed them with a small note. After that, Anant Ambani also took to the stage and shared a few words before the celebrations began.
Begining by thanking his parents Anant said, “Thank you, Mamma, for all that you have done. All this has been created by my mother. She has gone all out and for the last four months, and she has worked for 18 -19 hours a day (for this event). I am extremely grateful to Mamma, thank you so much!”
He also went on to address all the guests saying, “I would like to thank each and every one present here. I know everyone has made it to Jamnagar to make me and Radhika feel special, and we are all honoured and humbled to have all of you here. I am sorry if we have caused any inconvenience to anyone, please do forgive both the families. I would like to thank my mother, father, sister and my brother and sister-in-law and brother-in-law for making this event so memorable for me and Radhika. I think my family has gone all out to make us feel special and everyone has been sleeping for less than three hours a day for the last two to three months. I am so happy that I can share this joy with everyone out here. I really don’t have words to express my gratitude.”
Anant Ambani has been battling health issues for quite a long time. Although his weight issues have been a subject for trolling, Anant feels blessed to have received Radhika’s support throughout.
Talking about this Anant said, “As many of you already know, my life has not always been entirely a bed of roses. I have also experienced the pain of thorns. I have faced many health crises since childhood. But my father and mother have never let me feel that. My parents have always stood by me, and they have always made me feel that if I can think it, I will do it and I think that is what my parents mean to me. I am eternally grateful to them.”

Anant also shared about his fiance Radhika Merchant saying that he is really lucky to have her.
“There is no doubt about that. I don’t know how I got Radhika. I am definitely the luckiest here. Radhika has been with me for the last seven years and I feel that I met Radhika yesterday. But every day I fall more and more in love with her. Like my brother-in-law says that when he used to see my sister, he had volcanoes and fountains going up in his heart and I would say I have earthquakes and tsunamis going on in my heart when I see Radhika. So, thank you Radhika for everything,” he added.
Moving on to his grandparents, Anant went on to seek blessings from both his paternal and maternal grandparents.
“She is from Jamnagar and she has been a big inspiration to me. I am always motivated by her. My grandfather will be blessing me. My Nani is a nagar brahmin and she has taught me a lot. I have stayed mostly with my Nani when I was young. She taught me everything. And I have Radhika’s Nani here, her nana is blessing us from heaven. My nana also is blessing us from above. They are going to be extremely happy,” he said.
Meanwhile, as per the pogramme schedule, on the third day, guests will partake in two events – ‘Tusker Trails’ and ‘Hashtakshar.’ The former will be an outdoor experience, allowing guests to revel in the natural beauty of Jamnagar, while the latter will require them to don “heritage Indianwear.”
