Cole Kelly scored 38 points to lead host Neuqua Valley to an 80-51 win over Oswego East in a Class 4A regional championship game in Naperville on Friday.
Kelly, a 6-foot-7 sophomore forward with offers from Illinois and other Division I programs, also had six rebounds and three assists for the second-seeded Wildcats (32-1), who set a school record for wins in a season with their 30th straight victory. Junior guard Mason Martin, an Illinois recruit, added 22 points.
The Wildcats, whose only loss was against seventh-seeded Oswego East (19-12) on Nov. 28, will play third-seeded host Bolingbrook (24-7) in a sectional semifinal at 7 p.m. Wednesday. That will be another rematch; Neuqua Valley won the first game 75-69 on Jan. 24.
