Ind vs Pak Asia Cup 2022 match: Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team is all set to clash against arch-rivals Pakistan in Asia Cup 2022 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Both Indian and Pakistani players have already arrived in the UAE to start preparations for the T20 tournament, which will begin on August 27. On Sunday, August 28, India and Pakistan will face off. Ahead of the mega clash, former fast bowler, Wasim Akram has named one Indian player who can hurt Pakistan.

Wasim Akram said Suryakumar Yadav will be a game changer in the Asia Cup. “Suryakumar Yadav is the one player who can really hurt Pakistan in the upcoming tournament,” said Wasim Akram in a press conference organised by Star Sports ahead of Ind vs Pak Asia Cup 2022 clash.

The former fast bowler also revealed a weakness of the Pakistan cricket team. He said, “Pakistan is a young side, the only weakness is the middle-order. Babar Azam, Md. Rizwan are the key.”

Wasim Akram admitted that Pakistan was dealt a blow with pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi being ruled out due to injury. He said, “Shaheen will be sorely missed by Pakistan as he is an expert in taking wickets with the new ball. He has been consistently performing well and is among the top three fast bowlers in the world. But he has a knee injury and it will take time to recover.”

Shastri also agreed with him, saying, “India has always been troubled by left-arm fast bowlers. Left-arm fast bowlers are very important because they can turn the game around in 2-3 overs like Wasim Akram did in the 1992 World Cup final.”

Akram also shared his views about the India vs Pakistan match in the Asia Cup T20 tournament, “Everyone’s eyes are on this match because people are not used to seeing these two teams playing together, so they are waiting for this match. I would like to request the cricket lovers of both the countries to take it as just a cricket match in which one team will lose and one will win.”
