Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said whoever becomes a barrier in the path of humanity and development, will have the fate of the mafias in the state.
Speaking in Ayodhya during the Deepotsav celebrations, CM Yogi said, “Anyone who will become a barrier in the path of humanity and development, their fate will be like that of the mafias of Uttar Pradesh.”
The Uttar Pradesh CM said that the eighth edition of the Deepotsav in Ayodhya was historic as Lord Ram is now in his abode in Ayodhya for Diwali. The Deepotsav celebration is taking place in Ayodhya for the first time since the consecration of Ram temple on January 22.

CM Yogi also spoke on Sanatan Dharma, calling it the most ancient religion. He said if someone attacks if, he would naturally invite his own destruction.
“Sanatan Dharma is the most ancient religion of humanity. It is such a religion that paves the way for the welfare of all. When someone attacks it, he naturally invites his own destruction. The forces that want to weaken India today are dividing the society in the same way as Ravana and his followers were dividing in Treta Yuga. Even today they are doing the same, trying to divide the society in the name of caste, region, language, family and through this, national unity is being challenged. This Deepotsav is an opportunity to give a new inspiration to all of us,” CM Yogi said.
“This is a historic first as after 500 years, Lord Ram is now in his abode in Ayodhya for Diwali,” CM Yogi said.
“This is just the beginning and this beginning has to reach its logical conclusion. So by 2047, when the country celebrates 100 years of its independence, Kashi and Mathura must also shine like Ayodhya,” he added.
He further said that Ayodhya was shining today and it was the beginning of Sanatan Dharma. He added that Kashi and Mathura must also shine like Ayodhya.
