In response to the allegations, Kim Soo Hyun has reportedly enlisted the help of a forensic investigation team to clear his name and challenge the authenticity of the evidence presented. The controversy gained traction after the YouTube channel GaroSero Institute, known for its exposés on celebrity affairs, released a series of alleged KakaoTalk messages and personal photos said to be exchanged between the two.
Kim Sae Ron’s family also released what they claim to be supporting evidence of the relationship, fueling further debate online. As the situation unfolds, fans and the public alike await official statements and verification of the claims.
Despite Kim Soo Hyun and his agency firmly denying the allegations, clarifying that he and Kim Sae Ron briefly dated in 2019, after she had reached adulthood, the controversy continues to spiral, clouded by confusion, finger-pointing, and conflicting narratives. A recently released linguistic analysis has cast significant doubt on the authenticity of the KakaoTalk messages dated back to 2016, which are central to the scandal. According to forensic language experts, several inconsistencies in tone, phrasing, and message structure suggest that these messages may have been fabricated.
Kim Soo Hyun’s 2016 chats
The analysis looked at messages from 2016, 2018, and 2025. The 2025 messages were confirmed to be real and written by Kim Soo Hyun. But the 2016 messages, which are at the center of the scandal, raised major red flags.
Experts said there’s a 95% chance that the 2016 messages were fake. When they compared the writing style of the 2016 and 2025 messages, they found only an 8% chance they came from the same person. Even when the 2016 texts were compared to messages from 2018, the results were similar—only a low 92% match, suggesting they were likely written by someone else.
The 2016 messages included phrases like “I want to sleep with you,” “When can I hold you,” “Kisses,” which added to the controversy. But now, experts believe those texts may not be real.
Kim Soo Hyun’s team is working to prove that the 2016 messages may not have been written by him at all. This comes after Soo Hyun publicly called for an official forensic analysis to determine whether the messages are genuine.
