Baba Siddiqui Murder: Former Maharashtra MLA Baba Siddiqui was shot dead on Saturday night. The police have arrested two out of the three accused in the case and interrogation is underway. Authorities are now investigating whether the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was involved, although this has not yet been confirmed.

Sources told ABP News that police are questioning the shooters about possible connections to Bishnoi. The police are suspecting that that Siddiqui’s close ties to Salman Khan might have been a motive for the murder.

A 9.9 MM pistol which was used in the firing has also been recovered. Siddique was shot at outside his son Zeeshan’s office. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, but succumbed to the bullet injuries.

In response to Siddiqui’s death, various political figures have expressed their condolences. The Mumbai Congress tweeted: “The Mumbai Congress is deeply saddened by the passing of Baba Siddique Ji. His tireless service to the people and his dedication to the community will forever be remembered. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace.”
