MAGISNAT Showcases Applied Research and New Technologies at Atlanta Tech Park

Peachtree Corners, GA – May 14, 2025 – MAGISNAT OMICS LLC concluded its first anniversary with a presentation at Atlanta Tech Park, where the team shared a series of patented technologies developed over the past year. The event focused on turning molecular research into tools that may support health monitoring, clinical diagnostics, and wellness strategies.

Dr. Pietro Chiurazzi, co-founder of MAGISNAT and professor of medical genetics, moderated the event and introduced the technologies presented. Robin Bienfait, Founder and CEO of Atlanta Tech Park, and Nashlee Young, Director of Operations at ATP, opened the session by emphasizing the importance of supporting research-based startups. Bertrand Lapoire, Economic Development Director for the City of Peachtree Corners, and Nick Masino, President and CEO of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, discussed the region’s commitment to fostering innovation and biotech growth.

Scientific contributions followed, with Dr. Kristjana Dhuli illustrating a breath analysis platform designed to detect markers of respiratory inflammation linked to air pollution. Dr. Kevin Donato, CEO of MAGISNAT, presented an intranasal neuromodulation system aimed at regulating appetite. Dr. Cecilia Micheletti discussed a system for evaluating protein glycosylation patterns and their relationship to diet-induced metabolic stress. Dr. Alessandro Macchia introduced the company’s in-house bioinformatics pipelines for interpreting multi-omics data, and Dr. Jurgen Kaftalli shared findings on a therapeutic strategy targeting AKR1C1 and AKR1C2 enzyme sinhibition in lipedema.

Dr. Stephen Thadeus Connelly, MAGISNAT co-founder and professor at UCSF, and Dr. Vishnu Suppiramaniam from Kennesaw State University, also participated, highlighting how academic partnerships contribute to applied research. MAGISNAT President Dr. Matteo Bertelli summarized how each innovation fits within the company’s mission of applying scientific knowledge to practical health challenges.
