A 30-year-old man was killed after a vehicle drove into Little Calumet River in West Pullman, authorities said.

Around 3 a.m., the CPD Marine Unit pulled the man from the partially submerged vehicle near the 800 block of West 129th Place. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

A 30-year-old woman was a passenger of the vehicle and exited before it entered the water. She was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident is under investigation, police said.
