A 27-year-old man was stabbed overnight during an attempt armed robbery in the Loop neighborhood, Chicago police said.
About 11:45 p.m, a man was walking in the first block of South State Street when a robber approached on foot and tried to take his bag. The robber pulled out a knife and cut the victim when a fight ensued, police said.
The man was taken with a laceration to the leg to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was listed in good condition.
No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
