Meta Verified Rolled Out For WhatsApp Business In India, Brazil. Know Everything

Facebook and Instagram parent has announced rolling out Meta Verified on the WhatsApp Business app in India, Brazil, Indonesia and Colombia, in a bid to promote ease of doing business on the platform. In other words, a Meta Verified badge on the world’s most-popular messaging platform, WhatsApp, would mean a business has registered their information with Meta.

Businesses using Meta Verified will receive enhanced account support, including impersonation protection, and can use WhatsApp across multiple devices for their employees, the company added. The same Meta Verified badge will appear for businesses on their WhatsApp Channel as well as custom WhatsApp page.

The announcement was made at Conversations, Meta’s annual business messaging event, where it announced the latest product updates to help users and businesses do more on the messaging platform.

Call Large Businesses On WhatsApp Soon

Meta is rolling out a range of services for WhatsApp Business, starting with emerging economies such as India and Brazil, which are also its biggest markets. This move comes as part of Meta’s strategic initiative to enhance the features of WhatsApp for Businesses. The social networking giant is also introducing the ability to call larger businesses on WhatsApp “in just one tap.”

“If you have a complicated travel request or want to discuss opening a new account with your bank, a quick call might be the best way to get help. We just started testing this feature and will expand it to more businesses in the coming months,” the company said in a statement.

Aiming to make artificial intelligence (AI) tools help businesses on WhatsApp better assist their customers and help them discover new products they may be interested in, the company is training AI to respond to the most popular questions businesses receive on the platform.This would help customers quickly find the answers they are looking for.
