Microsoft Xbox has recently announced a new ‘standard’ subscription plan which would cost around Rs 1,250. It has also announced a hike in the price of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. This move from Microsoft’s gaming division comes just a day after it brought Xbox Cloud Gaming to select Amazon Fire TV Sticks. Starting September 12, the Microsoft Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription plan will now be purchased at an amount of Rs 829 per month.

To provide context to the comparison, earlier the same plan used to cost one Rs 549 per month.

All Plans That Will Witness A Hike In Prices

Apart from the Ultimate plan, other plans are also ready to become pricey. The PC Game Pass subscribers who till now were paying just Rs 349 will have to pay Rs 449 per month. Notably, PC Game Pass subscribers will still be entitled to day-one titles.

If you are more keen on buying the Game Pass Core plan then the tech giant that earlier used to charge Rs 1,999 annually will charge Rs 3,349 from you. The six month plan of the same subscription at the moment costs Rs 749 but soon it will go up to Rs 1,799.

The company has also revealed a new ‘standard’ subscription plan, however, this one will not include day-one access to first-party Xbox titles. This particular plan will be priced at $14.99 per month (approx. Rs 1,250) for new users. The existing users will still be able to buy the current Xbox Game Pass for console subscription but, new Game Pass subscribers will not be able to see the option starting July 10. This will happen as Microsoft after the said date will start offering the new Game Pass Standard subscription worldwide, which as per the company will be made available in the coming months.

These price increases occur just months before Microsoft introduces Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and other new titles to Xbox Game Pass. Last July, Microsoft raised the prices for Xbox Game Pass, with both Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate experiencing a Rs 50 hike.
