‘Missing India?’ ‘Jana Gana Mana’ At Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium Ahead Of AUS vs ENG Match

A bizarre incident took place before the Australia vs England Champions Trophy 2025 match on February 22 (Saturday) when the Indian national anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’ was mistakenly played at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium instead of Australia’s ‘Advance Australia Fair’ during the customary lineup. Notably, India had declined to travel to Pakistan amid political tensions between the arch-rivals. While Pakistan is playing host to the Champions Trophy 2025, India are playing all their matches in Dubai.

The social media was flooded with all sorts of reactions after the Gaddafi Stadium organisers committed a baffling blunder.

A user on X (formerly Twitter) said ‘Pakistan is really missing India’.
