Loaves & Fishes celebrates anniversary with open house

Loaves & Fishes Community Services will celebrate its 40th anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at their Naperville grocery market, 1871 High Grove Lane.

The event will recognize the support the organization has received throughout the years from volunteers, donors and community partners. Loaves & Fishes Community Services works to address food insecurity and helps residents in DuPage, Will, Kane and Kendall counties.

The community is invited to the open house, which will include light refreshments and a historical display. Residents can also leave a note in a time capsule.

“We are incredibly appreciative of the partnerships, volunteers and donors who have walked with us for 40 years,” Mike Havala, president and CEO of Loaves & Fishes said in a statement. “Together, we have served the growing needs of our community and those facing food insecurity with dignity and compassion. You have helped us make a big impact on thousands of lives, and for that, we are forever grateful.”

No RSVP is required to attend the open house.
