Days after former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif shared a video of him taking a dip in Yamuna, controversial priest Yati Narsinghanand responded to the incident saying that there should be a ban on the entry of Muslims during the Mahakumbh.
Speaking on the former cricketer taking a dip in Yamuna, Yati Narsinghanand, the controversial head priest of Dasna Devi Temple in Ghaziabad, said the incident was completely wrong.
“Muslims should not be allowed entry into the Maha Kumbh. This decision has been made by the Juna Akhara Council. The Kumbh is a sacred place for Hindus. Incidents like spitting in food and other such acts should be stopped. Since the Kumbh is a holy site, their (Muslims’s) entry should be banned,” Narsinghanand said over the incident.
The controversial remark of the seer comes after Mohammad Kaif, who recently visited Prayagraj, took a dip in the Yamuna River and shared the video on X.

In the video, he shared on the social media platform where he is seen jumping into the river from a boat and enjoying a swim. He captioned the video “Abe isi Jamuna ji mein tairaki seekha hoon” (I have learnt swimming in this Yamuna).”
Narsinghanand referring to Kaif’s Yamuna dip saying that the entry of Muslims should be banned since Mahakumbh is a sacred place for the Hindus.
The controversial seer also responded to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statement who expressed concern over the resurgence of temple-mosque disputes around the country. Bhagwat slammed the frequent raking up of Hindu-Muslim issues to foment communal discord in India.
Responding to Bhagwat’s statement, Narsinghanand said Mohan Bhagwat is not a God. He added that Hindu temples should be located and reclaimed, referring to the ongoing pleas filed across the country claiming the presence of temples under mosques in Sambhal, Ajmer and Budayun.
Mohan Bhagwat, without mentioning the cases filed in courts over temples purportedly being under mosques, had said, “There should be a Ram Temple and it indeed happened. That is a site of devotion for Hindus… But raking up new issues every day for disdain and enmity should not be done. Some people think they can become leaders of Hindus by raking up such issues every day. This is not acceptable.”
