A man allegedly fabricated a Transfer Certificate (TC) of his son to show he was a minor when he was arrested in a rape and murder case in 2016, police said. The accused man, Mohanlal, has been arrested in Noida. Mohanlal colluded with Nathuram, the principal of a school in the Kanpur Dehat area, to get the fake document made for his son which showed that he was a minor at the time of the incident. Nathuram is on the run, the police said.

Mohanlal’s son was arrested in 2016 for allegedly raping and murdering a teenager in Greater Noida. Ecotech-3 police station area, PTI reported quoting police officials.

Based on the fake certificate, the court sent the man to the correction home in Phase 2 Noida, police said.

However, the girl’s family presented the correct documents before the Juvenile Justice Board. After this, it was found during an investigation that Mohanlal had fabricated the TC to help his son get away lightly, police said.

Men Riding Bikes Fall Off Delhi Flyover

Two people on separate bikes fell from a flyover after being hit by a car in Delhi’s Vikaspuri area. Both the men were injured in the accident and admitted to a hospital, police said.

A PCR call was received regarding the incident around 7.30 pm, a police officer said. Investigation into the case found that Ashish Daulat, 42, of Janakpuri and Vivek Singh, 37, of Palam were riding different motorcycles when they were hit by the car. The impact of the collision was such that both of them fell off the flyover while their vehicles remained on the flyover, the officer said.

“Both have been admitted to hospitals and are under treatment. The condition of both the patients is stable,” the officer added. A case under appropriate sections of law was registered and the investigation was being carried out to nab the car driver, police said.
