Noida: A man on Thursday was allegedly stabbed to death after a fight at a meat shop in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone I) Rambadan Singh, the victim, identified as Shahzad (35) had reached the shop along with an unknown person to buy meat on Thursday evening. The meat shop is owned by one Gulzar in Sorkha village.
When Shahzad asked the other person to give him the towel he was wearing to use it to take the meat in it, the accused got angry, leading to a scuffle between the two, news agency PTI reported.
The accused then picked up a knife at the meat shop and stabbed Shahzad in the stomach, DCP Singh said.
Upon receiving information regarding the stabbing incident police reached the spot and took the body into custody. The body has been sent for post-mortem. An investigation has been launched to search for the accused but no concrete information has been received about him yet, the report said.
